La Braña are two country houses built at the beginning of the 20th century which have been refurbished in the Spring of 2001. They are located in Bustio, a small village situated at the eastern tip of Asturias, adjoining Unquera, in the province of Cantabria.
This strategic situation between the two attractive communities of the so called “Green Spain” makes it an ideal departure point for a large number of excursions, heading either eastwards: San Vicente de la Barquera, Comillas, Santillana del Mar, Santander, Cabárceno, etc., westwards: Llanes, Cangas de Onís, Oviedo, or up to the mountains: Picos de Europa, Potes, Lagos de Covadonga... All of these offering, besides natural and architectural beauty, a well reputed gastronomic tradition.
The isolation provided by 20.000 m2 of surrounding tree covered land makes of La Braña an oasis of peace and tranquillity, with the additional attractive of the river Tina Mayor, that runs through it, for fishing lovers.
Canoeing, horse riding and a large variety of adventure sports are offered in Unquera and within the surrounding area, as well as the kilometric beach spotted coast, being the closest beaches within 3 or 4 km. distance.
Each house has a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, dinning and living room with fire place, two double bedrooms, and a loft with two extra beds.
